The title’s misleading. No one’s crazy or stupid, but they’re all just normal people on their way towards figuring out what the hell love is all about. Turns out it’s an entertaining journey.

Seth Gordon’s Horrible Bosses hit theaters this past weekend, and the world just kept on spinning. No surprises in this one: a weakly comedic romp during which things go from bad to worse more quickly than you can say, “The Hangover 3.”
There is absolutely no way that you will feel neutral about Terrence Malick’s bold conversation piece. You will love it for its innovation, or you will hate it for torturing you. Or, you will opt out entirely and go spend time with your loved ones, doing your best to shield them from the poorly executed visions of pompous artists.
Movies that remind us of America’s duty to save the planet from certain annihilation, in addition to its duty to blow everything up.
Spielberg’s latest venture is a collaboration with his former lackey, J. J. Abrams, both of whom pay homage to an era of filmmaking that was more elegant, more clever, and just more entertaining than it is today. Oh, and there are plenty of explosions to keep us 2011 folks satisfied.
I predict the next episode in this overlong series will go straight to DVD, joining the likes of The Little Mermaid 20: Original Fin and Aladdin 14: Turns Out Prince Ali Is a Real Guy, and He’s Pissed. Ho hum, ho hum, a pirate’s life for me.
You’re wasting time reading this review. Changes in the world of popular cinema are happening right now! Close that laptop and buy some tickets, I tell you! (You may need to open the uh laptop again to acquiesce to my demands, sorry about that.)
