James River Parade of Lights. With several viewing locations at Libby Hill Park, the Intermediate Terminal Dock and from Google Earth, spectators from around the region/world can gather along the riverfront/their Macbook pros to catch the floating parade. But in all seriousness….floating parade?!?!? Is there an accompanying floating marching band? Friday, starting at 6 p.m.
Handmade Holiday Craft Show. The Richmond Craft Mafia presents more than 40 local artists and designers selling their work. Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Visual Arts Center. 1812 W. Main St.
Liza Kate leads an All-Star Christmas sing-a-long. She’ll be caroling with Zac Hryciak (5 Things mention number two this week), Julie Karr, and the inimitable Josh Small. Please bring some mistletoe. Monday, Cous Cous. 10pm.
VCU vs. U of R. The Rams take on the Spiders…in real life I am up in the air about whether a Ram or a Spider would win in a dual. If a VCU Ram fan and a Richmond Spider fan dueled I am quite certain the VCU Ram fan would win. UNLESS, it was actually a “duel” – like an old-timey duel. I’m pretty sure Richmond Spider fans are all expert swordsmen and marksmen. Saturday, 2pm, U of R.
