SPORTS! Kickers v. Mexico

The [rk]Kickers[/rk] take on the Mexican U-21 soccer team tonight at 7:30 pm — assuming the game is not canceled by weather. The [fs]Squirrels[/fs] finish up their series with New Britain tonight — again assuming weather isn’t an issue. The Flying Squirrels have won five of the last six an are now 6-7.

SPORTS! Augh, toona!

The [fs]Flying Squirrels[/fs] dropped their second game to Altoon 0-1 last night. The game went to fourteen innings and lasted three hours and 48 minutes. The Squirrels fall to 1-5. [ur]Leonard Alley[/ur], UR’s long time statistician, died due to sudden illness. Alley was also a statistician for the Richmond Braves and scored 750 straight games.

Dominion Riverrock photo contest

The second-annual Dominion Riverrock festival is happening May 14 and 15 on Brown’s Island. The two-day event celebrates sports, music and of course, fun on the James River. Just like last year, photographers of all skill levels can register to participate in a digital photo contest.
