GQ magazine names Need Supply Co. one of the 25 best stores for men

A leading men’s fashion magazine has given the Carytown clothing store the honor of being one of the 25 best stores for men in the entire country. While a strong accolade, this is not the first time that Need Supply Co. has been given top national honors.

GQ magazine has named Need Supply Co. in Carytown one of the “25 Best Men’s Stores in America” in their April 2012 issue. The men’s magazine touted Need Supply’s store in Virginia’s “quiet capital” as a “menswear blogger’s wet dream.”

“It’s a great feature. We’re really flattered by it,” said Gabriel Ricioppo, Creative Director and Managing Partner at Need Supply Co., about the GQ nod. “They did a nice job with the entire issue, and we are happy to be included.”

The store, which also sells women’s garments and accessories, opened in 1996. It sells clothing and apparel from contemporary designers and independent labels. Nylon magazine named the Carytown store one of the 100 best denim stores in the world. When asked as to why Need Supply continues to be nationally recognized, Ricioppo said, “I like to think it’s because we care a lot about what we’re doing.” However, he was sure to give credit to the store’s employees: “We have a great group of people here.”
