Favorites: Bistro Bobette’s sautéed rainbow trout
Next time you find yourself in Shockoe Slip at lunch time, duck in to Bistro Bobette for your midday repast. Lunch is a lower-cost way to try this unassuming, yet excellent, French restaurant. I’m fond of the sautéed rainbow trout ($12). The skin is crisp, the fish tender and juicy with slivered almonds adding some crunch. The lunch version of the dish lets you choose from one of their wonderful sides, and I recommend the perfectly cooked, lightly garlicky spinach.
