Café Gutenberg (1700 E. Main Street) will host a free demonstration on solar baking on Monday, November 15, from 5pm to 7pm. Solar baking utilizes nature to help keep your kitchen cool and reduce utility bills.
Author, artist and Food Not Bombs co-founder Keith McHenry will demonstrate how to prepare solar baked goods and give a presentation about the history and principles of Food Not Bombs and their global campaign. The presentation will be followed by a 15-minute video about Food Not Bombs in Africa.
Organizers hope to educate on how community members can share meals and groceries, support nonviolent direct actions, and work towards implementing a sustainable future. Donations will be accepted by local and international FNB groups.
