The Real Richmond Food Tours have been selling out left and right so get your tickets for this Saturday’s walking tour now. Each tour features a particular part of town and samples of restaurants along the way. May 28th will feature Carytown and the Museum District. Based on the name this month, I can conjecture which places you’ll stop, and clearly the VMFA will be featured, but the exact locations are left a little mysterious until the tour actually begins. Tapas and Southern classics are also mentioned.

The group starts at 2pm at Chop Suey Books, 2913 W. Cary Street and goes until about 4 pm, rain or shine. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Tickets are $39 and can be purchased online.

If you don’t get in to this month’s walk, June’s is entitled “Alternative Eats” and features some of my own favorites in the Fan and VCU. Heavy on the vegetarian friendly and local, Black Sheep, Ipanema, Sprout, and the Nile are some of the intended stops on Saturday, June 11, 2011, also from 2 – 430pm.
