Beginning April 12, Ukrop’s Super Markets around Richmond will make their transition into MARTIN’S.

In a press release today, MARTIN’S announced their plans to introduce lower prices store-wide as well as their intention to continue gas pump rewards.

“MARTIN’S has a tradition of being a low price leader and offering the most competitive prices to our customers for the highest quality products,” said Jim Scanlon, regional vice president in the press release. “This is not a gimmick and it is not temporary; it is the new price reality at MARTIN’S.”

Customers will be able to take advantage of these prices by applying for a MARTIN’S BONUSCARD. Just like the Ukrop’s Value Card, obtaining a BONUSCARD is free and can be applied for right in the store.

Ukrop’s customers with fuelperks! will still have an opportunity to use their accumulated fuelperks! until the change-over is complete in mid-May. Both the Ukrop’s Value Card and MARTIN’S BONUSCARD can be used until that time.

After the change-over is complete, customers can “spend” their earned MARTIN’S gas savings at 37 participating Uppy’s locations around Richmond and Williamsburg.

“In addition, customers will no longer need to spend at least $50 in one transaction to begin earning discounts. For every $100 accumulated at MARTIN’S using a BONUSCARD, customers will receive ten cents off per gallon of gas the next time they fill up at participating Uppy’s BP and Exxon stations.”

MARTIN’S will also offer Double Coupons every day. Visit the MARTIN’S website for online coupons, recipes, weekly circulars and more.
