Groovin’ in the Garden moves to Maymont

Just for the month of May, at least.

Just for the month of May, at least.

From Lewis Ginter’s website:

The first four concerts of Groovin’ in the Garden will be held at Maymont instead of Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Due to an oversight in the permitting process by the producer, Haymaker Productions, the County of Henrico was not able to approve the permit for the first four concerts.

The concerts affected include:

  • Thursday, May 6: Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings
  • Thursday, May 13: Keller Williams
  • Thursday, May 20: Jay Farrar
  • Thursday, May 27: Carbon Leaf

The June Groovin’ in the Garden concerts will be hosted at the Garden as scheduled. Inquiries may be directed to tom@haymaker.net.

Bummer for Lewis Ginter, but we’re sure Maymont will be a great spot and look forward to things moving back to the Garden in June.
