VCU’s victory on Saturday afternoon put the Rams on the bubble and extended the Ram’s win streak–the longest since 1985. More importantly, VCU swept bitter arch-rival ODU for the first time since 2004.
With the exception of Robert Nwankwo, the Towson Tigers looked completely lost on offense Wednesday night as the Virginia Commonwealth University Rams cruised to their 10th straight win, 66-43, in the Stuart C. Sigel Center.

It wasn’t pretty but the Virginia Commonwealth University Rams squeaked out a 59-56 homecoming victory over the Northeastern Huskies on Saturday night.
The Rams took on Northeastern tonight in a record 15th consecutive sellout (dang!). After leading most of the night, the Huskies pulled with in three but were unable to come away with a win.
After losing consecutive games in the beginning of January to conference foes Drexel and Georgia State, the Virginia Commonwealth University Rams have won eight straight. Wednesday night William & Mary connected on twelve three-pointers, but VCU’s offense led the Rams to an 87-78 victory in Williamsburg to help the Rams move into first place in the CAA.

By the look of things around the CAA, the Rams are going to need to rack up a lot more W’s, but for now, the VCU Rams will take this win. It was the most physical game of the season, and the Rams barely escaped the Georgia State Panthers, 59-58, Saturday afternoon in Atlanta.
