It’s official: writing for RVANews has sent me over the edge–literally.

This organization is doing some AMAZING work.
Over the Edge is the 2-day culmination to a year-long fundraising effort for Special Olympics Virginia. It’s simple: raise $1,000 and you can rappel down the 400-foot SunTrust building.
Things sure are different for tweens now than when I was a tween. For instance, the word tween didn’t exist. In fact, I thought “tween” was the word for when you link up your Twitter with your Instagram account. What I’m saying is, get off the computers and go outside.
There will be over 3,000 athletes competing in this year’s Winter Games. Two of them will be from the area.
I volunteered to take photos for Over the Edge on Thursday afternoon for the chance to see what everything looked like from up on top of the SunTrust Center.
The Olympic flame comes to the State Capitol after traveling nearly 2,000 miles.
