Some of the city’s best biscuit makers and over 80 volunteers will descend upon Monroe Park to provide a unique Valentine’s Day experience to some of the city’s hungry February 14th.
We’ve always known that biscuits were a force of good in the world.
The ministry provides free clothes to at-risk children, single parents, and the homeless.
A chance for the homeless to easily pick up some clothes that they might need.
It’s just one way the City and local organizations are trying to make the homeless feel at home.
Five years ago, Karen Atkinson organized and managed the first South of the James farmers’ market in Forest Hill. It has since grown exponentially. How deep are her connections to the city, and what’s her next plan for Richmond?
