What to expect: VCU starts season against FGCU
After a little less than 8 months of eagerly waiting, the VCU Rams open the 2012-13 basketball at the Stuart C. Siegel Center on Friday night.

Virginia Commonwealth University started hot and George Mason looked lost as the Rams beat the Patriots 89-77 Saturday night in the Stuart C. Siegel Center.
Saturday night will be an emotional game on multiple levels as the VCU Rams host the GMU Patriots. The winner gets bragging rights, the #2 seed in the CAA tournament, and an RPI boost that could be the difference maker come “selection Sunday.”
The University of Northern Iowa and Virginia Commonwealth University last night entered an offensive shoot-out that ended in a 77-68 victory for VCU in the Stuart C. Siegel Center.
And so begins the bracketbusting as VCU takes over Northern Iowa and puts another ‘W’ in the 2011-2012 season! VCU! Go Rams Go!
Tuesday night VCU lost a heart-breaker to conference foe George Mason. The Rams look to get back to their winning ways by returning home for the 2012 Sear’s Bracketbusters and taking on Northern Iowa.
