As you might have guessed by the names and logos, Walkabout Outfitters provides outdoor gear and Ladles & Linens will cure that kitchen gear and linens itch. Richmond BizSense.com has the details on these shops that hope to open this spring.
Kirk and Tina Miller this month signed a 10-year lease for the 4,444 square feet at 3015 W. Cary St. This summer, they plan to open a Walkabout Outfitters. The Millers also expect to sign a lease for the 2,000 square feet at 3016 W. Cary St. by the end of January. They plan to open a Ladles and Linens Kitchen Shoppe there in April.
The former home to Pirouzan Oriental Rugs at 3015 W. Cary St. was purchased in December for $795,000. Raffi Bandazian, president and principle broker for Bandazian & Holden, represented the seller, and Austin Joy of Spotts & Carneal represented the buyer.
West Coast Kix owner Ben Margolis said he plans to close his shop at 3016 W. Cary St. by the end of March. Margolis, who in August 2010 launched the footwear, apparel and accessories boutique, is moving to Los Angeles.
