The April 18th & 19th celebration of the reenactment of the 1781 Battle of Petersburg will feature award-winning magician and master puppeteer Professor Horn and his celebrated Punch & Judy puppet show on Saturday and Signora Bella, the Great Italian Equilibrist, on Sunday.

Considered the oldest show of its kind in America, the farcical puppet play Punch & Judy began more than 100 years ago in Baltimore. Today Professor Horn continues the tradition with his unique comedy magic, melodies from a vintage Hurdy-Gurdy Music Box and of course, his clever Punch & Judy Puppet Show. It’€™s a free fall of smiles and laughter for all! Performances will be at 11:30am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm and 4:00pm on Saturday.

Signora Bella, the Great Italian Equilibrist, has entertained audiences of all ages since her arrival on the eastern seaboard ten years ago. With great zest she brings to life the tradition of the traveling performers of the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Tracing her roots to the Italian theatrical style of Commedia DellaArte, Signora Bella has stunned the masses with her feats of balance and amazed audiences with her juggling of sharp Turkish swords and flaming torches. Her high energy performances encourage audience participation creating a unique performance every time. Performances will be at 11:00am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm on Sunday.
