1. An Evening with Groucho

Saturday, January 15

Groucho rose to fame on radio and television with his Award winning work as the host of the comedy show “You Bet Your Life.” Groucho’s character will be played by none other than Frank Ferrante, an actor, producer, and director who was discovered by Groucho’s son. This is one comedy show you will not want to miss!

2. Barnes & Noble Story Time

Friday, January 14

Story time with your toddlers! Make sure to wear your pajamas to this special storytime. They’ll read a story and have a fun arts and craft activity! Enjoy the Book “Ten on the Sled” by Kim Norman.

3. RVA On Ice

Saturday, January 15 through Monday, March 7

“RVA on Ice,” the city’s new ice skating rink is now open. The ice rink is behind Richmond CenterStage at 6th Street, on the Broad Street side. Saturday, January 15 at 3:15 pm you can see a performance by the St. Andrews Legion Pipes and Drums. They serve to demonstrate traditional music of highland bag piping and drumming along with public presentation and proper highland attire.

4. Laura W. Bush at The Richmond Forum

Laura Bush was one of the most popular first ladies in American history, and she will be the first to address The Richmond Forum. From her time in the White House to her continuing personal commitment to education, women’s health and human rights, Laura Bush has a unique and wide-ranging perspective that she will share with the Richmond audience.

5. City Singers Winter Concert

Sunday, January 16

City Singers Children’s Choirs will perform their winter concert at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 16 at Ginter Park Presbyterian Church, located at 3601 Seminary Avenue.This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
