Richmond police Capt. David L. Martin said the robbery was reported at 9:05 p.m. at the Eat Rice restaurant in the 6100 block of Jahnke Road.

The suspect was described as a black male who was 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a thin build and wearing all black clothing, black gloves and a black skull cap and carrying a black semiautomatic handgun.

When he went to the cash register and demanded money, an employee opened the register, the suspect reached across the counter, took money and ran from the restaurant, Martin said.
