HandsOn Greater Richmond is looking for projects to include in HandsOn Day 2010. The deadline for submissions is July 19, 2010.
Last year HandsOn Day attracted over 1000 volunteers to assist with 42 projects, and we’re planning on the same response this fall. We will connect your organization to a volunteer team ready to paint, build, sort, sew, stuff, organize, clean, rake — you name it! We’ll recruit the volunteers, provide a Project Captain to help supervise, and assist with project logistics on the day of the event — all at no cost to you. There is also the potential for small supply funds to help cover project supply costs.
What types of projects can we help with? Projects that:
- Begin October 16, 2010 at 10:30am and end by 2:30pm
- Are suitable for group sizes of 10 to 50 volunteers
- Don’t require advanced training or orientation sessions, and
- Take place in Richmond, Henrico or Chesterfield.
