“Samantha’s World” at Maymont:

In this edition of Behind the Scenes, we visited with Nancy Lowden, Manager of Historical Programs at Maymont Foundations, and some of the participants at Maymont’s very popular event, “Samatha’s World” for young ladies, based on the American Girl doll. Victorian ladies help the girls explore the historic gardens, practice manners, and discover what it was like to live or work 100 years ago. The event ends with a carriage ride and tea party on the front porch.
