Determining RVA’s Healthiest
It takes a lot to be healthy – it takes hard work and dedication. And no one understands that more than the professionals tasked with helping us stay that way. That’s why the first round of RVA’s Healthiest Person contest will be judged by a panel of health experts appointed by Retreat Doctors’ Hospital. Judges will review contestant responses to the quiz and summaries (remember, originality counts!) to determine semi-finalists, who will then be interviewed in-person by the judging panel. Based on interviews, judges will select finalists to move on to the final round of judging – popular vote. (Note: Judging panel portion worth 50 percent of final decision.)
At this point, it’s time for finalists to rally the troops! Finalists – and details on their healthy lifestyles – will be posted on the contest Web site for one week, from 12:00 p.m. EST Wednesday, May 26 to 12:00 p.m. EST Wednesday, June 2, and site visitors can cast their votes for who they think deserves to be RVA’s Healthiest Person. So enlist friends, family, co-workers – whoever it takes – to vote for your favorite health nut. Who knows – maybe it’s you! $1,000 cash is not too shabby when you’ve already got the benefit of health and well-being. (Note: Popular vote portion worth 50 percent of final decision. Votes limited to one vote per site visitor per day.)
