SAFETY ALERT: RUGBY ROAD INVESTIGATION
There was an incident last night on the 3000 block of Rugby reported at 10:50 p.m. The address is known, but at this time the police would like to respect the homeowner’s privacy. A single male intruder entered the house, and the male occupant reportedly called 911 and then proceeded to remove the intruder from the home. Unfortunately, the male occupant was stabbed and received medical treatment. Due to confidentiality, no additional information could be given on the medical aspect of the incident.
Because of the nature of the armed crime, Major Crimes Division took over from the third precinct. The forensic team is in the neighborhood, today continuing the search and investigation. The suspect has not been apprehended. They are looking for a middle-aged black male about 5” 10” tall wearing white sneakers.
