According to RTD the Richmond Police are focusing on violent robberies that have more than a few similarities, occurring in and near our area.

Each of the following incidents occurred between 8 and 10 p.m.

  • 1600 Block of Kemper Street – Thursday –  Victim was walking and was approached by three males, punched and knocked to the ground and left semiconscious and backpack was stolen.
  • 1600 Block of Idlewood Avenue – Tuesday – Victim was riding a bicycle west on Idlewood Avenue when one of several males punched the cyclist, knocking him off his bike. Then one of the males stole the victim’s iPod.
  • 100 Block of South Allen Avenue- 10/18 – Victim was walking, approached by 4 or 5 males and punched to the ground. While on the ground he was punched and kicked and his wallet was taken.
  • 1600 block of Idlewood Avenue – 10/15 – Victim  was riding his bicycle was struck and knocked to the ground where he was kicked and punch by 4 or 5 males. His bike was stolen.

Anyone with information on the attacks is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000 or if you see something suspicious in the area immediately call 911.
