A routine traffic stop took a bizarre turn Monday night when Henrico Police pulled over Christopher Mills near Short Pump Elementary School off Pump Road. When Mills was told he was free to go, he proceeded to back into the police car twice before exiting his vehicle and arguing with the officer.

Police also say Mills had a concealed handgun, all of which culminated in his arrest for a variety of charges including possessing a firearm on school property, due to the traffic stop location.

No word on Mill’s motives, if any, in the incident.
