The Metropolitan Richmond Sports Backers has again been recognized as the leader in its industry, receiving the National Association of Sports Commission’s (NASC) 2009 Member of the Year award. The NASC made the announcement yesterday during its annual Sport Event Symposium in Denver, CO, citing the organization’s accomplishment of generating over $61 million of economic impact for the Richmond region through an involvement in 38 events with over 353,000 total participants.
