A new suburban shopping and lifestyle center is probably the last place you’d expect to see a piece of Richmond history. But that’s just what’s coming to West Broad Village. The mixed use center’s management plans to bring back the feel of holiday shopping this Christmas season with nostalgic storefront displays.
The animated displays will be reminiscent to the storefronts of Thalhimer’s and Miller & Rhoads during their heyday, much further east on Broad Street.
White paper currently covers the windows of a number of vacant retail spaces while the displays are being put together.
All of the displays will be revealed by Thanksgiving.
