We are a week away from Memorial Day weekend and it’s the perfect time to get out and make sure the parks are ready for prime time. Plus, with the high water this past week, there will be plenty of bottles and cans to be picked up…why not Saturday, starting with Pony Pasture
Our quarterly clean-up along Riverside Drive from Pony Pasture to Huguenot Flatwater is this Saturday, May 21st from 10-noon. We have one large group coming, but feel free to join in. We meet at Pony Pasture parking lot. Please bring gloves and trash bags.

Remember, the big JRAC-sponsored James River clean-up Saturday, June 11th has two JRPS locations, Reedy Creek and Pony Pasture. Dedicated FOJRP member Stephanie Saccone and helpers run the Reedy Creek section for us, including whipping up lunch for volunteers. The equally devoted Lynda Richardson and Mike Ostrander run the Pony Pasture one. Doesn’t matter where you help, the river and park will be the better for your time and efforts. Sign up here to help from 9-1: James River clean-up
