Police Investigate Homicide

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered near a retention pond at the Ivy Walk apartments today. Police responded to 4800 Burnt Oak Drive shortly after 4 a.m. to investigate what they originally believed was a vehicle crash. Officers discovered an abandoned, marked security SUV and soon discovered the body of Damion L. West, 28, of the 6400 block of Lovey Road, Richmond. West was employed as a security guard with the American Security Group. Detectives continue their investigation into this homicide.
