The Richmond Police Department has arrested one man, but needs the public’s help to find another involved in this weekend’s shooting in the Fan neighborhood.

At approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, June 9, officers were called to the intersection of South Addison and West Cary streets for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 31-year-old male who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Within minutes of that call, officers spotted a vehicle leaving the scene quickly and detained the driver after the vehicle crashed in the 1200 block of Lakeview Avenue.

After further investigation, detectives determined the driver was the victim in the incident and shot one of the other men in self-defense.

Detectives have arrested and charged Marcell A. Patron Jr., 31, of the 2100 block of West Cary Street, with attempted murder and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. His mugshot will be released when he’s released from the hospital.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate a second suspect—Harry Bryce Franklin, 24, (ABOVE) whose last known address is the 3200 block of Edgewood Avenue—in connection with the crime.

Detectives believe this shooting was a result of an argument between a group of individuals.

They are asking anyone with any information about Franklin’s whereabouts or this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000 or text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both methods are anonymous.
