The first annual Plein Air Richmond, an event presented and hosted by Brazier Gallery to benefit the Richmond Symphony, is in full effect this week. Keep an eye out around town as 47 specially juried plein air painters from across the United States set up easels all over our historic city to create hundreds of paintings.

There will be a Ticketed Collector’s Preview Party and Gala on June 22 at Brazier Gallery (1616 West Main Street). Party-goers will be the first to view the paintings created during this weeks paint out. A Festive Gala with music from the Richmond Symphony will continue across the street at the “Try Me Gallery”. Ticket and painting proceeds benefit the Richmond Symphony. For tickets: richmondsymphony.com OR 804-788-4717, ext. 112.

There will be a public exhibition at Brazier Gallery on Saturday June 23 and Sunday June 24. Among other related activities will be “Fast and Fresh” on Monument Avenue on Saturday: from 9AM-noon juried and non-juried artists will start and complete paintings on Monument Avenue. These paintings will be available for purchase off the easels (with proceeds benefiting the Symphony).
