South University celebrated the opening of its Richmond campus at West Broad Village on Monday, the school’s sixth location across the United States. The campus welcomed nearly 100 students to its 30,000-square-foot campus between Whole Foods Market and the Aloft Richmond West hotel.
“We’re excited to join the Richmond educational landscape and are looking forward to becoming a partner to the Richmond community, educating and graduating a diverse student body with the skills needed for life-long learning,” Dennis Corrado, campus president of the Short Pump location said. “South University has a tradition of putting our students first. That tradition in Richmond begins today.”
South University Richmond initially will offer bachelor’s degree programs in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Healthcare Management, Psychology, and a RN to BSN (Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science, Nursing), and graduate programs including a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and a Master of Business Administration.
“Our curriculum, regardless of specific program, is replete with critical thinking and develops our students’ ability to effectively apply themselves to any endeavor they choose,” Corrado says.
