Department of Public Works Spruces Up Monument Ave. for Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K

RICHMOND, VA – The Department of Public Works has launched a three-day initiative to spruce up Monument Avenue between Monroe Park and Chantilly Street ahead of the annual Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K on Saturday.

Beginning March 25 work crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. patching potholes, vacuuming leaves and sweeping the street.  They will continue that schedule on Friday.  On Saturday they will begin at 3 a.m. and work until it is time for the race to begin.

Motorists are being asked to heed all ‘No Parking’ signs during the clean-up.
