As part of a world-wide series of protests planned for Saturday, a local group has organized an event in Richmond:

So in partnership with Renew Richmond (a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals to cultivate healthier lifestyles through the growth of food) and in solidarity with other ‘Consumers’ across the WORLD, Richmond citizens are going to March Against Monsanto Saturday May 25th at 2pm.

We will meet on the sidewalk on Thompson and Floyd avenue, by the Post Office in Carytown. Participants will be provided flyers and other informational materials to distribute to passersby. Individuals are encouraged to make their own posters and signs as we will have a limited supply to hand out (tumorous rats, chemicals, toxic waste, corn grenades, etc.— please be creative).
