Melody Magic Music Studio Opens in Short Pump

Downtown Short Pump is home to dozens of locally owned small businesses. It’s the perfect place to live, shop and play. Now, Melody Magic Music Studio is a member of the elite Short Pump locally owned businesses. The new studio opened on September 6 and they hit the ground running.

Katherine Knight, owner of the studio, is thrilled with the response from the Short Pump community.

Katherine has provided children’s music classes for over 8 years, but now she has turned her dream of a studio dedicated to children’s music, activity, and learning into a reality.

“It was worth it. This was 8 years in the making. I have been teaching for 8 years, and took the leap to have a dedicated studio, and I am so happy that I did. It was a lot of work, but the smiles I see make it worth it!” she explains.

Melody Magic Music Studios welcomed more than 200 children to music classes during the grand opening week. Some classes are already completely full and Katherine is looking to create new classes and new activities. Some of the services and opportunities available include:

Birthday parties are hosted by the studio with new, fun, and different ways to celebrate. It’s a high-quality option for a party that offers more than just playtime and cake — it is a completely clean and child-safe environment that encourages fun, play and activity that’s good for kids. They have already booked 8 parties for September and are booking out as far as December already. Moms love it too.
Katherine has hired a new licensed educator, Ms. Anna, to her join her team. Ms. Anna is not new to Kindermusik, which is part of the Melody Magic Music Studios classes, but she is new to their studio. She is a highly trained pianist and musician and she has lots to share.
People are scheduling private classes just for their small groups and Katherine welcomes these activities and tailors them to suit the needs of each group.

Katherine is planning some cool new things for the future including musical storytime, “bedtime” classes when kids come in pjs, and other fun events for kids. She makes learning and activity fun for kids in unique ways.

When talking with Katherine about her new studio, she was passionate about her goal to help children appreciate and enjoy music, movement and fun. She’s also excited that her dream for a state-of-the-art studio has come to fruition.

“I feel good knowing that moms can relax in a clean environment that is completely child-safe, and that they are coming to a fantastic class that will help their child for years to come. I believe in what Kindermusik does for children, and I hope now I can bring it to more and more kids each year!”
