RVA Coffeestain’s Doug Orleski has turned his unique humor into Mean Eats: A 2014 Calendar, a year of emotional food. You order the calendar online directly from Blunt Objects or pick up a copy at World of Mirth in Carytown.
We all love to eat—but too often, we fail to consider our food’s complex emotional state.
Luckily, cartoonist Doug Orleski (aka RVA Coffee Stain) spends his free time doing just that. His deep thoughts about the hopes, dreams, and petty complaints of the things we eat have been among his most popular illustrations.
MEAN EATS is the first joint project by Blunt Objects and RVA Coffee Stain. We designed the calendar to not only delight and amuse every month, but also to be cut out into 12 individual 8”x10” prints for framing, folding into ornate origami shapes, or giving away in an attempt to raise awareness that food has feelings too.
