The Valentine Richmond History Center launched Richmond History Makers in 2005 to annually recognize, honor, and celebrate those everyday citizens and outstanding organizations that are making significant contributions to the greater Richmond region. Nominees are chosen based one of the following areas:

Mary Lou Decossaux,Co-Executive Director of the NRC is nominated in the “Promoting Stronger Communities” category. The Richmond History Maker’s celebration will be held October 20th at the Richmond History Center to honor the people who have changed the Richmond community. The public is invited, tickets are $40, to reserve your spot visit the Richmond History Makers website.
