A new cake and cupcake shop is the latest business to put down roots in Short Pump where locally owned businesses are thriving. Ingrid Law is the owner of confectionery creations shop Kakealicious.

Law is passionate about making unique cakes and cupcakes. She is joined by her business partner, Mindy Byrne, who creates the most unusual handmade, edible  figurines used as birthday, wedding, and special occasion cake and cupcake toppers.

Cakes and cupcakes are custom designed and made to order. Kakealicious can turn your ideas into incredible cakes to match a theme, or they’ll recommend a variety of options for your consideration.

Flavors like chocolate almond, red velvet, marble, carrot, lemon and butter are used to make cakes. Examples of their decadent icings are buttercream, strawberry, cream cheese, lemon and more. Frosting flavors include chocolate ganache, peanut butter, peppermint buttercream, or white chocolate peppermint buttercream especially for winter holidays.

Kakealicious also offers a variety of specialty flavors like Cappucino chip cupcakes and Mocha buttercream icing; or Key Lime Pie cupcakes with fresh whipped cream topping. Be sure and visit the website to check out cake toppers with meticulous detail and color like ruby red slippers, birds and twigs, mushrooms, cats, rabbits, smurfs and more. You won’t believe how real they look and they are deliciously edible.
