The Buick (or whatever) hops the concrete median, sparks flying everywhere underneath, and ends up in the southbound lane. I’m freaking a little less now, thinking it’s going to keep going north in the southbound lanes, but then it starts to come back over the median (more sparks) into the northbound lane, maybe 150 feet behind me. I dump the clutch and spin the front tires thinking that I’ve got about 60 feet or so of safety room, and that I’m going over the curb into the other lanes if he’s going to plow into the stopped traffic.
