A fire this morning in a two story apartment building was put out with no injuries. RTD reports:

Lt. Shawn Jones said all the occupants had gotten out safely by the time the first units arrived at the apartment in the 400 block of West Fritz Street after the 911 call was placed at 8:36 a.m.

Jones said the fire was knocked down quickly and was mainly confined to the first floor of the wood-frame structure.

The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen but the cause was under investigation, Jones said.
