Henrico Fire crews responded to a small house fire in the Cherry Hill subdivision of Wyndham Sunday morning. Crews quickly extinguished the flames. The home, in the 10000 block of Cherry Hill Drive, sustained damage to the attic area, but no exterior structural damage was visible.
Officials say the blaze started in the chimney just before 11:00 a.m. and spread to the attic before being contained.
Neither the home’s occupants nor firefighters were injured and the cause is still under investigation.
