Business foreclosures and bank seizures are an unfortunate sign of the times, but also an opportunity for great savings to savvy consumers looking for a deal when the resulting reclaimed items are offered at public auction.

Motley’s Auction & Realty Group, a central Virginia leader in bank foreclosure auctions, will offer a large collection of items that have been recently reclaimed or ordered sold by creditors at their June 3rd auction held at their galleries at 4402 W. Broad Street in Richmond, VA.

The live and internet portion of the auction, which will start at 2 p.m. and continue until approximately 10 p.m., will include the complete bank ordered liquidation of 150 statuary and garden elements from Marcus Imports of Fredericksburg; more than 1,000 bottles of fine wine and champagne seized by the VA Alcoholic Beverage Control; and vehicles including a 1982 Porsche 928, 1984 Corvette convertible and a 2004 Nissan 350X that is being ordered sold by the U.S. Bankruptcy court.

As time-honored estate liquidators, Motley’s will also include in the June 3rd auction items de-accessioned from Tuckahoe Plantation, artwork from the William J. Fields collection (whose prestigious Prestwould condominium, 1A, will also be sold by sealed bid on May 30), the incredible Paul and Vivian Hensley estate clock collection, nearly 100 pieces of estate jewelry, an important collection of Arts & Crafts furniture, sterling silver, antique furniture, glassware and more.

To round out the sale on June 3rd, Motley’s will incorporate a sealed bid auction entitled “Ladies Night Out – Fashion Fun Extravaganza.” Motley’s has been selected by a secured creditor to sell the contents of a high-end clothing boutique that did not survive the current economy, plus an estate collection of designer clothing and accessories. A mix of new and pre-enjoyed estate items will include nearly 100 Chanel items ranging from clothing to shoes to belts, as well as clothing and accessories by Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Rene Caovilla, Helene Arpels, Salvatore Ferragamo, Escada, Bruni Magli, Nando Muzi, Manolo Blahnik, Cole Haan, Judith Leiber, Versace, Valentino, Louis Feraud and more. All items are expected to sell for hundreds less than retail.

New men’s and women’s clothing and accessories from upper-tier designers around the globe include Cerruti Jeans, She’s SO, Essential (Antwerp), Mia Zia, ETRO, Barbara Bui, Maria Di Ripabianca, Irene Van Ryb, Aldo Martin’s, Vivienne Westwood, Riccardo Piacenza, Dolcepunta, Fabio Inghirami, Sigillo di Garanzia, DSquared² , Miani, Moreno Martini, Verri, La Matta, River and more.

All clothing and like accessories will be sold via sealed bid. Bidders simply need to sign up and place the maximum they are willing to pay. Bidding on the clothing and accessories will end promptly at 8 p.m. June 3rd.

Mark Motley, president of the auction company, stated, “It’s a fun and easy process that will give the buyer a chance to purchase items from some of the world’s top designers at truly a fraction of their retail price. If you have never enjoyed the fun of one of our auctions before, there is no better opportunity to bring a friend and join in.”

Motley’s gallery will be open to preview all lots Monday and Tuesday, June 1-2 from, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and on the day of the auction starting at 10 a.m.
