A direct warning about leaving your treasures out in plain sight in your car:
As I was driving home last night […] I noticed quite a few cop cars in the Gillies Creek Park. There were lights flashing and cruisers both in the park and on the street so I sort of thought it might be a DUI checkpoint or something along those lines. […] Anyway, in talking with some coworkers this morning I found out the cops had been called to the park because of multiple car break-ins that night. River City Sports and Social Club’s kickball season is under way and will be playing at Gillies as well as Canoe Run Park on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. The group was pretty upset about the break-ins because due to the rain last night most of their players had left all of their belongings in their cars (iPods, GPS units, wallets, cell phones, etc.).
