A well-known Richmond restaurant is wasting no time swooping in to take over the space vacated by Copper Grill Lobster & Steakhouse after it closed last week. The Brazilian-style steakhouse is relocating to Short Pump from its current location at Regency Square Mall.

Copper Grill pulled out of Short Pump Town Center when its lease ran out.

The new restaurant is scheduled to open in March, according to a company representative. The Short Pump restaurant will be 8,000 square feet, down from the 10,000 square foot steakhouse at Regency Square.

Texas de Brazil operates 23 locations nationwide. This will be the chain’s second Virginia location.
