Bellevue Elementary School has been named a 2010 National Blue Ribbon School (PDF) by the U.S. Department of Education. Bellevue is one of only 304 public or private schools nationwide and one of only nine in Virginia to earn the designation, according to the USDOE. The award recognizes schools whose students achieve at very high levels or have made significant progress in closing achievement gaps among disadvantaged and minority students.
