Check out what Friends of James River Park volunteer Vicky Shivy found at Pony Pasture during a cleanup Saturday.
It is the door to a safe, and judging by the lack of rust, mud and damage, it must not have been tossed there very long ago. The volunteers were clearing invasive species just west of the takeout and the parking lot at Pony Pasture. Is anyone missing the door to a safe?
By the way, Saturday with Friends in the Park will be out at Pony Pasture next Saturday at 1 p.m. to clear more invasive species and clean Riverside Drive after the marathon, which is being run that morning.
