All-terrain Vehicle Crash Kills Driver
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating an all-terrain vehicle crash that killed the driver and injured a teenage passenger. The crash occurred in the 3300 block of Julep Drive at 7:11 p.m. on June 11. Police said Theophilus D. Lewis, 45, of the 3300 block of Julep Drive, was traveling south on Julep Drive when he lost control of the 1995 Polaris ATV he was driving and struck a fence. Lewis was pronounced dead while in transport to the hospital. The teenage passenger was transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Police continue their investigation into this crash.
