Enjoy food trucks with your soccer action on Sunday

The perfect remedy for a World Cup hangover is live soccer, cheap tickets, food trucks, and beer.

I know some of us are still angry at the soccer Gods for turning their backs on our beautiful US Men’s National and their heroic run in the World Cup. We need to push that pain deep, deep down and remember that in Richmond we’re lucky enough to be able to catch live in-person soccer and the Richmond Kickers are playing this Sunday against the Real Salt Lake Reserve team.

Kickoff is at 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 6th and there is a lot going on.

They’ll be food trucks galore on site so no cooking dinner. Richmond’s iconic Food Trucks will headline the event with local favorites BoDillaz, Gelati Celesti, Mr. Softee, Mosaic, Hungry Turtle, Kona Ice, Carytown Burgers & Fries, Jadeans Barbeque and Opa, serving fresh sandwiches, incredible quesadillas, authentic Greek fare and heavenly hand-made ice cream.

Tickets are only $5.00 before 5:00 PM which will leave you with more money to spend on $2.00 Miller Lite drafts. Gates open at 4:00 PM but I have at on good authority that the Red Army should be out tailgating.
