Bocce League rolls into Church Hill

Formerly a game of Roman Statesman but now available to the masses.

It’s a little known fact that Richmond has an official Bocce League called Major League Bocce. We helped get the word out earlier this year and if you don’t know anything about bocce that article is a good place to start.

Previously the pallina  (aka jack or boccino) has only been tossed at Hardywood on Wednesday nights. That division has been so successful (Fall Season already full) that they’ve expanded and have now added a division here in Church Hill. The Church Hill division will play on Tuesday nights at 6:30 and will start tossing in Jefferson Park on September 30th. After the matches the team will retire to the foot of Church Hill at Station 2 and impress all those that are willing to listen of how you split two blockers and cozied up next to the pallina for the game winner.

There are still spots open and you can register online either a team or as an individual.

There is a $55 registration fee for each member of your team. The good news is that Major League Bocce Facebook page  is sharing this RVAFALL10 promo code to get $10 off the price of registration.
