Welcome back the Ginter Park Library on Tuesday

Libraries are awesome. Libraries that have gone through an intensive remodel are even more awesome. If you’ve haven’t checked out the other library remodels that have occurred throughout the city you’re in for quite the treat on Tuesday.

We are pleased to announce after almost a year-long renovation, your neighborhood library is reopening! The entire community is invited to a special Rededication of the Ginter Park Library on June 28th at 1:00pm. The library has not seen a major renovation since opening its doors in May 1954. During the past year, Ginter Park has gone through a number of changes and updates, including:

  • New carpet, shelving, and paint
  • New furniture
  • Better Wi-Fi connectivity
  • Brand new patron computers
  • New children’s educational learning computers
  • Brand new expansive meeting room
  • Handi-capable accessibility
  • New exterior and interior lighting
  • A new bike rack
  • Renovated restrooms
  • Extended operating hours
  • AND, of course, new books, DVDs, magazines, & audio books!
