Secret Sandwich Society to be a secret no more

Is it a secret if everyone knows about it?

The Secret Sandwich Society has one gourmet sandwich and burger restaurant operating in Fayetteville. The secret society is growing with a second location at 501 East Grace Street but diners will have to wait until early summer of 2016 to fill up any of the planned 75 seats.

“We were excited by the growth potential of Richmond’s dining scene and the national attention it’s receiving,” said David Bailey, co-owner of SSS.

Menu items are playfully named after former presidents, First Ladies, and Secret Service code names. Favorites include the Hoover; a fried chicken, honey butter, and pickle sandwich as well as the Eagle burger with seared mortadella, over-easy egg, crispy onions, and garlic mayonnaise.

The restaurant will feature the now seemingly required local/seasonal beer and cider menu and an impressive list of burgers, sandwiches and salads. For those of you with little burger biters the kid’s menu features your standards for around $5 and offers a grilled peanut butter and jelly which I’m sure will be a big hit with young and old.
