Get ready to skate at this season’s RVA On Ice
An iconic part of winter in Richmond returns! RVA is better on ice!
The fourth season of RVA On Ice begins this Saturday when the city’s downtown ice skating rink returns to the corner of Broad and 6th streets. General admission is $5.00, but only $4.00 for those aged 60 and up and those with military IDs. The rink is free for children 10 and under. Group rentals are available.
Don’t own your own ice skates? No worries: skate rentals cost $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children 10 and under.
In addition to the ice skating, RVA On Ice offers holiday music, a fire pit, and concession stands that serve hot chocolate, S’mores, and other snacks. There are also free arts and crafts sessions on Saturdays.
The official opening ceremony will take place on Monday, November 25th at 5:00 PM with Mayor Dwight Jones and other guests. There will be a free skate session immediately following. On that day, RVA On Ice hours will be 5:30 – 10:00 PM.
